Year 13 band top the bill at Stourbridge gig

On Wednesday 29th March our Year 13 band, Broken Leads, performed a 20 minute set in front of approximately 300 people at The River Rooms in Stourbridge as part of a Student Showcase Night organised by Fred M Promotions. 

The band have been rehearsing after school and during lunch times in preparation for this event; their level of commitment and preparation was clearly evident from the show they put on.  As an added bonus the band were given top billing and headlined the event, having sold more tickets than any other band performing on the night.

The Music Department at Windsor High School and Sixth Form has developed a good working relationship with Fred M Promotions and we hope to have another one of our school bands take part in the next Student Showcase night at The River Rooms on Thursday 25th May. 

This was an amazing opportunity for us as a band - it helped us develop our music and performance skills and it’s an experience we are all very grateful for. Performing in front of a large crowd in a professional venue was a brilliant experience. The audience was electric and the atmosphere was incredible and it is definitely something we will remember for a long time".
