Students at Windsor High School and Sixth Form in Halesowen Celebrate Post-16 Results

Sixth Form students from Windsor High School and Sixth Form are celebrating after receiving their A Level and vocational results today. 

The school, which is located on Richmond Street in Halesowen and part of Windsor Academy Trust, is pleased to announce another set of strong results achieved by its students.

Standout individual achievements include:

  • Toby Bennett has successfully achieved A* A A A in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Biology and has secured his place to study Natural Sciences at Lancaster University.
  • Lauren Moreton has successfully achieved A A A A in History, Psychology, Sociology and EPQ and has secured her place to study Primary Education at University of Derby.
  • Ali Ahmed has successfully achieved A A A in Biology, Chemistry and Maths and has secured his place to study Dentistry at the University of Nottingham.
  • Maddie Court has successfully achieved A* A A B in EPQ, Biology, Business and History and has secured her place to study Archaeology at the University of Birmingham.
  • Jacob Fellows has successfully achieved A* B B Distinction* in PE, History, EPQ and Business and has secured his place at the University of Birmingham to study Physiotherapy.
  • Mohammad Mehmood has succesfully achieved A A A in Psychology, Chemistry and Biology and has secured his place to study Medicine at Keele University

Collecting A Level results today, Maddie, said:
“I am so pleased with my results and being able to study Archaeology at the University of Leicester. I have really enjoyed my time at Windsor Sixth Form and the support I have had from my teachers - thank you to everyone!” 

Toby also said:“I have had great support at Windsor and I am really pleased with the grades I have achieved. I have had a fantastic time and look forward to my next chapter.” 

Students are now looking forward to progressing onto their chosen universities, exciting apprenticeships and employment at leading organisations across the region.

Windsor High School and Sixth Form achieved 70 A*-A grades with 20 students gaining an average grade of A.

Subjects that saw particular success included Maths, where 30% of students achieved a grade A or A*, along with English and Chemistry where a quarter of all students also gained these top grades. In addition, 24 subjects achieved a 100% pass rate, with 100% of students passing their vocational qualifications. 70% of those studying Health and Social Care achieved a Distinction or higher.
